Phoebe Hutchason is a media composer based in Chichester, UK.
In July 2022, Phoebe won a place on the 100% Her Composer Mentorship Scheme with Universal Production Music UK. Over a period of 6-months, having been mentored by Dave Connolly of Molecular Sound, she worked on various composer briefs for labels such as Chappell, Atmosphere and Bruton. Having completed the mentorship in February 2023, she is now part of Universal's main composer roster. You can listen to her library work here.
Her library work has been gaining momentum and by the end of 2022 it was synced mainly on ITV, Channel 4 and Really. In early 2023 she has had music featured on BBC 1&2, PBS, E4, Channel 5 and various other international channels. Notable credits include Springwatch, Yorkshire Vet, Celebs Go Dating and The Hidden World of Hospitality with Tom Kerridge.
Besides production music, Phoebe enjoys working in film and in 2021 saw her score her first short feature film (Director: Vivian Guarnieri) which has been officially selected at the Salerno and Rome: Vision film festivals. She is currently working with Vivian on a new short film.
Phoebe studied at Thinkspace Education ganging her MA in Professional Media Composition (2021) and the University of Hull for her BA in Creative Music Technology. (2019)
Phoebe is a multi-instrumentalist specialising in Jazz Piano and has been playing since the age of 5. She enjoys working with artists and musicians to produce and co-write their music and is currently working with a local musician to produce four eleven-track albums. She is also one half of the duo Swebe which has just released there debut EP, We Ride.
